Sripuram in one day

A visit to the temple only, with enough time to walk the Star Path without hurrying. Two versions: start in the morning or in the afternoon.

Morning plan

  1. From 8:00 AM, when darshan opens: park, then use the cloak room and footwear counter.
  2. Then: walk the Star Path, reading the messages, and have darshan.
  3. After darshan: the prasadam counter, then cross the road to Sri Narayani Temple, which the official website says is a three-minute walk.
  4. Lunch: the Annadhana Mandapam serves meals from 12 noon to 3:00 PM; Sri Narayani Bhavan is near the premises.

Afternoon and evening plan

  1. Before 3:00 PM: lunch at the Annadhana Mandapam if you want to eat at the temple.
  2. Afternoon: cloak room, then the Star Path and darshan.
  3. Before closing: general darshan closes at 8:00 PM and the Divya Darshan Seva at 7:30 PM, so leave a generous margin for the walk.

Independent planning guidance

A later start avoids the midday heat but leaves less margin if the queue is long that day. How long the walk and queue take is not published and varies, so do not plan the evening tightly.

Checklist for the day

  • Clothes that meet the dress code
  • No backpack, suitcase or large bag (prohibited on the premises)
  • Cash for the cloak room, prasadam and parking
  • A meeting point agreed with your group

Independent planning guidance

The official website recommends reading the messages along the Star Path, sitting for a while and praying in silence. Build that time into your plan rather than treating the walk as a queue.
