Where sources disagree

  • Gold: the official website says "over 1.5 tonnes"; the Vellore District Government says about 1,500 kg.
  • Layers of gold foil: the official website gives "nine to fifteen" on one page and "15" on another; the Vellore District Government gives 9 to 10.

What we could not source

No reliable source was found for the construction cost, the number of artisans, the exact construction period, official visitor numbers, the precise Star Path length, or crowd and waiting times, so this site does not state them as facts. The consecration date (24 August 2007) comes from Wikipedia and still needs confirmation from an official or contemporary news source.
