Two days

Spend a night in either town. This leaves time for Girivalam, the walk around Arunachala hill, which many pilgrims undertake.

Full-moon days

Independent planning guidance

Full-moon (Pournami) days draw very large crowds at Tiruvannamalai for Girivalam, and roads and lodging fill up. If you are not going for Girivalam, choose another date.
